In this spirit, I've decided to circulate a post with my own personal list of flash challenges and prompts. I'm sure there are certainly many more out there but these are the ones I frequent almost weekly and recommend as good quality stuff:
55 Word Challenge (Wednesdays)
Visual Dare (Wednesdays)
And there you have my list. Now, I will be the first to say that I can seldom manage to sneak all of these into a week (though I have before). As you can see, Fridays get a bit...intense. Still and all, if you've been bitten by the flash fiction bug, you know too much is never enough, eh? Well, good writing all and hoping to see you pop up on the contributor's list of all these great opportunities.

Awesome! A bit too many even for me too but...wow!
ReplyDeleteI have fit them all in a few times but Fridays seem to be my downfall
ReplyDeletegreat list! Thanks for sharing; I'm missing a few of these.
ReplyDeleteI like! Thanks for doing the sharing. I'm going to hop around and jump in delight ;-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy! Just try to hop around and jump safely. hehehe
DeleteWhat a great list, I'm missing quite a few :) I agree about flash helping your writing, I have made real progress by just doing the small amount of weekly flash fiction that I do, it's always great fun too :)
ReplyDeleteFlash has really helped my writing too! Not just learning to cut the fluff and using words that have more impact, but also just celebrating finishing something! Sometimes I get frustrated on my novel because THE END seems so far away, but writing a flash lets me complete a story and keeps me excited about writing. (Although I've been writing less flash the past two weeks because I'm coming up on THE END in the novel...)
DeleteHaha! Great list! I wrote in most of these one week in July when I was on vacation, but I still didn't make them all even then! And there are a couple I didn't know about. (How is that possible?) Thanks for sharing! (I still can't believe you've written in all of them several times! That's amazing!)
